"What makes this area unique in my opinion would be the Shops & food. This is the center of Philadelphia I can’t complain too much on the people crowding the place "

"I have access to many different bus or train lines within a 10 min walk at MOST. Often times much less. I can walk 20 minutes (approximately a mile) easily and comfortably to get where I need to go as well."

"Busy city traffic rude drivers, but lots of life at night. Just visiting here but seem like an ok place to see. Lots of sports and things to do! Lots of construction everywhere and hard to get around , too many pot holes and traffic cones. Sad to see homeless on streets and tents along major routes! Be careful if traveling alone they have pan handlers walking up to cars at traffic lights and across from a hospital."

"Every thing'is at your fingertips and once you mingle you feel safe to walk at night and participate or not. Garden shows, art extravaganzas and picnics. And transportation service fast, clean and readily available anytime and all the time. Did I mention very pet friendly and kind but controlled including the poops. "

"This is an upscale neighborhood. but you find a mix of young families, business workers, service workers, shops, restaurants,. nonetheless it is not noisy. You can walk around safely during the day and a little more carefully at night. There is buses running E to W and N to S. you can also walk to the subway or a little further to the train station."

"Beautiful area that is close to everything Philadelphia has to offer. Family and pet friendly with lots of shops you can bring your furry friends to. The Square is lovely for sitting and people watching in. Some of the best restaurants in town right at your doorstep. "

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter went to Kindercare for pre-K and I was absolutely appalled at the place. The teachers are lazy and disinterested. no sense of caring or positivity with the kids - the only interactions were negative - "stop", "get down" "don't do that", etc. The only goal, apparently, is to make sure your kid is still alive at the end of the day. No attempt to engage or encourage the kids. No caring nurturing environment. No welcoming greeting, no concern or even awareness of kids who might be shy. I saw a kid fall off his bike and the teachers unable to get up and help. The physical condition of the teachers is a safety issue. They are incapable and/or just too lazy to take care of kids. In terms of nutrition, they got cheap junk nearly every day of the 2+ weeks we stuck it out. - cellophane wrapped saltines (the free kind) for cheese and crackers. Butter popcorn in a bag. Oreos. I picked her up at different times to see if things were better during the day.Usually she worked alone on stations, which is fine, but some interaction would also be nice. The one attempt I saw at a group activity, none of the kids were engaged. I left everyday with a pit in my stomach. Finally got her out.Parent Review14y ago1 Reviews - De la Salle In Town
