  • Susan S.

  • Susan S.
"Much of the neighborhood's uniqueness is its Old World charm: lovely historic homes and cobblestone streets, many of which are dotted with modern highrises. And we have the fabulous Schuykill River Trail."

"It’s so walkable and friendly. Great for dogs and kids. Lots of restaurants, small shops, etc. One downside is lack of decent parking"
  • Leaoxenhandler
"Lived here for almost 10 years, many of our neighbors have lived here for 20+ years. It’s really a diverse community of neighbors - different ages and backgrounds. Really love it!"
  • Rafe24
"Best neighborhood in Philadelphia hands downs. So many parks and close to amazing restaurants and bars"
  • Rafe24
"Close enough to walk to all the best bars and restaurants in the city, yet far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Proximity to Schuylkill River Trail is tremendous!"
  • Gloria A.
"Imagine having a house in the city, within walking distance of City Hall, only ten minutes walk to Fitler Square, near to many restaurants, and shops, but also next door to a park, the river trail and just across the river from Penn and major hospitals. Surprisingly, it's not noisy. A great private pre-school and primary school is just steps away. The neighborhood is truly diverse, with some long time residents happily co-existing with newcomers, with retirees enjoying the toddlers in Fitler Square. And the public school is quite decent. The only drawback is parking, so houses with onsite parking are highly valued. "
