4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe staff at this school especially the lower school are horrible!!! The current CEO is a joke. The Dean for grades 3-5 is rude and unfair. They care more about school attendance, than academic performance and school safety. They don’t acknowledge students who excel academically. The school counselor uses in appropriate language. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageStanton has incredible teachers, staff, and a super supportive and genuinely kind parent community that has been successful in raising money to support additional programming and to support the the teachers and staff. Stanton has great partnerships in the community including with Settlement House, which supports the orchestra and the incredible orchestra teacher at Stanton. Every teacher my daughter has had so far has been excellent-super competent, kind and innovative in circumstances that can be challenging sometimes. In our experience, adherence to the school’s stated messaging seemed to take priority over the quality of teaching. The teachers and staff that I have met are dedicated, professional, and very positive. I am a product of a parochial school education. I thought that my elementary education was very good. However, experiencing The Philadelphia School has given me a new understanding of academic excellence. And it is not just the academic environment - the entire school is affirming and enthusiastic.
