"Weekly Farmer’s Market and Drag Brunches; monthly Night Markets; and annual events such as Pride, Halloween, Christmas, and Castro Street Fair are fun, lively, and colorful events to see and be seen at here in the Castro."

"My commute is quick and easy. I can walk to Castro station on the Muni Metro subway and be downtown usually in under 15 minutes. Trains can be full during rush hour, but overall getting around is pretty easy "

"Dog owners would probably at times both like and dislike the high percentage of other dog owners in the neighborhood. There are few homes with access to lawns or gardens for exercising a dog, but there are several public dog parks nearby."

"My neighborhood is located near the geographical center of San Francisco. This facilitates relatively quick access all areas of the city, whether by car, mass transit, scooter, or bike. Commuting from here is a breeze."
  • Paul T.
"Party scene, bars, many bums and needles. Lots of complicated and frequent accident intersections!!!"
  • Jo C.
"Very cllose access to the Muni stations (KLMJ). Right next to Castro street and Dolores Park. lots of bus routes and ride shares"
  • Arthur G.
"The area is congested at certain times due to local schools and lots of people driving. There are also a lot of pedestrians due to the LGBTQ scene."
  • Elizabeth D.
"my neighborhood has easy access to everything, on foot and via Muni. plus it's a small community within the city!"
  • Nick
"Castro has gone down hill in a big way. It’s like the “Walking Dead” on the sidewalks 24/7. Tons of homeless, panhandlers, people sleeping and shooting up on the doorsteps of private homes and businesses. And watch out for all the human feces everywhere. Other than that, it’s a great neighborhood centrally located and on the Muni underground line. "

"Corona Heights has many claims to fame, including a monument to the geographical center of San Francisco - i.e. the Universe. Afterall - where else do you find street names like Mars, Saturn and Uranus??? The Vulcan Stairs are a little secret hideaway and even lesser known are the Saturn Steps with resting places to sit and gaze at the stars. At the base of it all is the Castro District looking up to the delightful Twin Peaks and Sutro Tower. Why wouldn't you want to live here? "

"Terrific and fun neighborhood with accesbility to restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, and nightlife. Public transportation is readily available within a block."
