What Locals Say about Brisbane

  • Sander S.
"Easy access to any transportation bart, samtrans and Caltrain Easy way to get airport and shopping 15mins away"
  • Michelle H.
"No dog parks that I know of. The part of Brisbane (close to South San Francisco) is hilly, curb less, and not too walkable. Other parts of Brisbane are more walkable and dog friendly though!"
  • Yanan
"Brisbane is the best kept secret in Bay Area. Most of the mountain homes have amazing views! People bought house and live here, they never leave again. "
  • Melissajcoelho
"Brisbane has a unique small community vibe that long-time residents are proud of and newcomers are intrigued by. I have some friendly neighbors and others who keep to themselves. There are only a few decent restaurant options, hoping for more to come. The only grocery store in town isn’t great so it’s necessary to go elsewhere or get delivery. There’s also a small farmers market in the park on Thursday afternoons. The hardware store has practically anything you need. The city is a stone’s throw away, which is a major perk. Good hiking on San Bruno Mountain (watch for poison oak) and the Crocker Recreational Trail is great for a quick walk/run. Can’t speak to the schools, don’t have kids. Weather is sunny for the most part when it’s foggy in the city and SSF. Can be windy in spring/early summer. "

"Convenient and close to the city. Very safe and friendly. Great schools. Wonderful parks, pool, tennis courts, library. This place is like a little San Francisco secret."
  • Teresa M.
"I have lived in Brisbane for two years. I wish I lived here when my children were small and in school. Brisbane is the perfect place for small town living with sense of community. Tthe best of being as near to San Francisco as you can get with out the hassle of big city living! Free commute transportation to nearby Cal-Train. Minutes from MUNI, SFO, and BART. Annual community events such as soapbox derby race, weekly summer concerts, and Brisbane Days. Brisbane has a rich history full of intriguing stories and facts. Safe and secure neighborhood, great neighbors, friendly merchants, wonderful restaurants, post office, library, wild blackberries, San Bruno Mountain, and views! Awesome lighted Star display during the holidays. "
