I am a student at Raoul Wallenberg High School and I am giving this High School a review for these reasons:I would say that learning is not something everyone will be 100% excited about but students show that they are ready to come to class on time and show active engagement in learning. Teachers tell students to try their best and also encourage them to work at their best. Some challenges may come with learning depending on how the student is feeling but teachers make sure students can have a space where they are ready to learn.Teachers at this High School want to make sure that students are ready to go to college but can also create a learning space where it will not be so hard. That means that teachers will make sure students can get a check in to see how they are doing personally and see how they can help them. The teachers want to make sure it is a supportive space where you don't just get mountains of work and you can not get a check in to see how you are doing.Students will need social emotional support and teachers, staff members, and admin will be there to provide that. There will be days where students need a break or need to have a check in to see how they are doing emotionally. There will be a space for students to not hide emotions inside and pretend that everything is fine when it really is not. Considerations on this standard will be provided below.Special Education services are important for students who need it and Wallenberg High School will be a space for students to be able to feel normal and not judged just because of what services they may need. If you have a student who needs Special Education services and will need a supportive space, consider this to be it. Students, if you would like a supportive space, please consider looking into this school and see how others like it as well.Safety is something that will relate to family engagement. Safety is something that students value so if you would like to have a safe space where you can engage with others, this would be a good space. Other High Schools are packed and do not have the admin to watch over so if you would like to have an adult watched space as well, consider this to be a good school. For families, ig anything happens, admin or staff will reach out to tell you what is going on and what can happen next.I would say that Wallenberg High School is a small and safe space, so if that is what you want, please look into it for more.
