"It’s a generally safe area, but always watch out for reckless drivers. Also, the weather can get quite damp and foggy here"

"The neighborhood is really friendly and also a great and enjoyable atmosphere. I would recommend as a place to raise an adolescent as this is a suitable place. "

"I love living here. It is close to the GG park, the beach, the presidio, several areas and streets with restaurants and shops, farmers market, easy to get downtown, safe, friendly. Schools in the area are also very good. Close to grocery shopping (from Whole Foods to Arguello Market).Parking on street is also easy."

"I've lived in this neighborhood for 20 years and there has been an increase in homeless people overflowing from Golden Gate Park and into the neighborhoods. You can here them yelling at one-another, loitering in various laundromats and prepping their drugs for sale or use. Further traffic gets worse and worse as the intersection at Fulton and Stanyan is like a freeway thoroughfare for those heading into and out of the city from the north. Parking is better than many neighborhoods, thanks to the park and USF. Speaking of USF, the neighborhoods other transient population is college kids, who are loud and obnoxious throughout the school year. I would never buy a house in this neighborhood at the current market values."

"The parks, the friendly neighbors, the numerous great elementary schools and preschools, the weather, the food, the proximity to groceries and staples (whole foods, target, trader's, safeway), the fast bus lines to downtown (BX, L get you downtown faster than living in Nopa). This is the best hood in the city."
