"Rusch Park is a great place to raise a family. I work about 15 minutes away in Carmichael. It is very quiet, people drive careful through the neighborhood. "

"Nice and safe. People know their neighbors and help keep the area free of blithe. The area is becoming older and people have remodeled their homes to take advantage of the increased value"

"Lived here over 30 years. Easy onto the freeway. Friendly neighbors. Love Citrus Heights!! Best place in Sacramento County. I highly recommend this older, but safe community. "

"Rush park . I would say there is more than enough space. To add a dog park for all the people around the area to bring their dogs to play "

"Our friendly neighbors and our established neighborhood watch group. We are on a street with only 5 homes, so it’s quaint. "

"It is about a 25 minute commute to downtown Sacramento with open traffic. Heavy traffic increases the commute to 45 minutes plus."

"It takes 20-30 minutes to get from Citrus Heights to Natomas/Sacramento in morning traffic along I-80 to San Francisco. If you need to take Business 80 into downtown Sacramento leave 45 minutes + on most days for your commute. "

"50 min commute to downtown . Kind of long wish it was shorter. It’s actually okay when school is out in the summer."

"I've lived here for the past decade and I really can't say anything bad about it. Very few neighborhood problems, and it is close to everything (i.e., shopping, restaurants, schools, etc.) and just far enough away from the freeway that you're not too close."

"I have lived in this area for almost 4 years. Most of my immediate, as well as other neighbors have lived here for 30+ years. The schools: elementary (WONDERFUL teachers and staff!!), middle and high schools are very close and we feel very comfortable letting the kids walk/ride their bikes to school. Many many many neighbors walk and run in the morning and evening - either alone or with their dogs. One of my dogs got out of the yard and dang near the entire neighbor hood was out looking for him! Great place to raise a family. "

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love my son's school! His teachers are very involved, especially the Kindergarten teacher he had last year, Mrs. Green! The Principal is always around, is very involved and always has a welcoming smile. This has been a great school for my son. It is challenging for him, although he has always been very advanced. I do wish that more parents were involved in extracurricular activities and fundraising, but I have to say that is our only qualm with the school.Parent Review11y ago12 Reviews - Grand Oaks Elementary School
