"What makes my neighborhood unique is the strong sense of community and diversity. Every weekend, neighbors gather at the local park for a small farmers’ market and community potluck—it really brings people together. I love how everyone knows each other by name, and there’s always someone willing to lend a hand."

"I have my own car. I don’t use public transportation I usually drive to work back and fourth I drive only five minutes to work from my house"
  • Ana
"Lived in Valley Stream for a majority of my life. The public school system is one of the best in the south shore. East access to Manhattan with two LIRR lines going through the town and occasionally the Babylon line as well. Hendrickson Park is the “private” park for residents of the village. A nice place to go for a walk with your family. The town holds a huge Fourth of July party at one of the fields. Firework show can be seen from blocks away. Overall good place to raise a family. Every town has its quirks; however, VS favors overs the rest. "
  • Pvelcime
"Definitely need a car to commute, the buses are unreliable and few and far between. LIRR takes you further East or to the city."
  • Khadija_alicia
"Easy to move around close to the city but not that close which is perfect. Close to all major highways!"
  • Vdkwarrior
"Nice neighborhood to live in and have your kids grow up in. The education is very good and it’s a diverse community "
  • Jethro.jeanba
"- valley stream summer fairs at Hendrickson park - 4th of July fireworks at Firemen’s field - Memorial Day parade"
