Alden Terrace School

My daughter has been coming since kindergarten and now graduating this year woohoo. Ps 176 has been great to us. The teachers Ms. Chu just amazing and caring, helped my baby love math and be comfortable with learning it. Ms. Spearman is so cool and down to earth and will literally recommend to you what can help your child do better in class. Ms. Alexander is great, Ms. Chouhan and Ms. Salmon are such a great duo together. I really enjoyed every teacher and staff is good as well. The school I would say after Covid they just don’t really allow parents in the school which is weird. I don’t remember the last time I saw my daughter’s classroom, so definitely need more interacting and being back more sports with Mr. Rivera he is the BEST!!!!! Track was awesome. Thank God for a great experience. I would say keep an open mind, stay kind , know who your child is!! ask questions and make sure parents that you are involved and staff see your face, know your voice as in you speak, you greet and you show up.

Gotham Avenue is a great school. The learning environment is safe and comfortable. The teachers and staff care and are helpful to the students and parents. I hope the school continues to excel.

As parent of a 3rd grader my experience with Shaw Avenue has been a positive one. My child started in Kindergarten and is still enrolled at Shaw with encouraging growth in academics, teacher experience, allocation of resources. Shaw boasts a strong PTA presence, open engagement from the school district and Shaw Ave administration.

I went here from 2013-2019 grades Pre K — 4 and am now a rising sophomore at my local public High School. Great education, teachers were great and I still keep in touch with a lot of until now, supportive parents & fun environment! Felt the education quality was better than what your child can receive in a normal elementary school, and when I switched to the public system in fall of 2019 (5th grade) I was miles ahead of my peers. Even ended up skipping a year in 7th and it was because of the discipline I was taught here. If you have the privilege to send your child here, definitely do it!
