Read what parents are saying about Gotham Avenue SchoolGotham Avenue school is an amazing elementary school. My children have attended this school since kindergarten. We are so pleased with the staff. The teachers go beyond the call of duty. They are very quick to respond to parent concerns. Each year my twins who are placed in different classes have each had outstanding teachers. The school offers many after school clubs, a Saturday academy as well as a wonderful summer school program. The school offers parent workshops that are very interesting and informative. The PTA does their best to provide programs and services to the school as well. I am so proud to say that my children attend Gotham Avenue School. Mrs. Cabell who is now in charge of the special education program is phenomenal. I can not thank her enough for her dedication to providing services for our students who are in need of special education services. The administrators at Gotham Avenue truly care about the well being of every student. The school has stepped up their security system with the installation of new cameras and entry system. Gotham Avenue creates a loving, nurturing environment for all of the students.

What I like about LI schools is that there are a bunch of programs for the children to attend; however, I do not like that my daughter does not get as much homework as she was in NYC. I do not feel she is being challenged at all. I will say; the school staff are very friendly and I feel comfortable calling in to disuss anything with them.

Great education, teachers were great and I still keep in touch with a lot of until now, supportive parents & fun environment! Felt the education quality was better than what your child can receive in a normal elementary school, and when I switched to the public system in fall of 2019 (5th grade) I was miles ahead of my peers. Even ended up skipping a year in 7th and it was because of the discipline I was taught here. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCCGC has been an amazing experience so far coming from the public school system to the private school system has been eye opening and glaring from the accessibility of the school's principal daily to time to meet and talk to the teachers to see what area your child may need to improve or just simply how they are doing. The teachers push the kids to get out the best of themselves. Most of the kids function two grade levels ahead generally speaking based on nationally testing. Academics is the school priority but the main theme you will notice is how family oriented the school is they encourage families to participate from the student field days where parents are encouraged to attend and participate to the Daddy daughter dances, Family movie nights it is truly inclusive, and I have been beyond impressed. The school also in assisting in guiding kids to great high schools and planning for your child's future. FYI the kids will be working so be prepared!Parent Review5mo ago
