Posted by a parent on 8/27/2019Good experience until a false CPS claim was made. Then, I didn’t trust the school personnel. Now, I rate the school with a “fair”!

Posted by a community member on 12/8/2017Horrible I'm taking my child out ! Never a steady teacher ,the communication with parents are horrible I know nothing if I don't ask ,the principal needs to go ,they're more focused on attire than education. Don't do it if you want your child to have a good education!
Posted by a parent on 6/21/2017This school is absolutely horrible. DO NOT send your child there. The principle or vice principle do not care about your child. They rather keep their name clean than give the parent or child the care they deserve. This school definitely should be cleaned out starting from the top. The principle bringing the kids into the school in the mornings is all a so people can feel like she's doing something. If your child is bullied in this school forget even going to them cuz they honestly don't care. No one helps you at all. I hope this school gets a turn over of management the principal has got to go.

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI graduated from PS 134 in 1951. I attended for the entire elementary period along with many others who lived in the area at that time. We loved and respected our teachers and each other. Most of us went on through high school and college and productive careers. I graduated from Brooklyn Tech then Hofstra college, did a career in the US Army then and additional career with a major midwest university. In May this year I will reunion with 3 old pals of that era. We have been in contact since that time and frequently talk about our PS 134 experience. I attribute my success in life to my teachers and especially to our principal, Marie Fowler Rielly! (sp)Other Review4y ago - Ps Ms 147 Ronald Mcnair

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is attending OLOLCA and I am very pleased. She was failing miserably in public school to the point of being held over in the 1st grade. I seriously thought something was wrong with her. I had her tested and there were no abnormalities found. She is excelling in fact she gets A's and B's. As far as the staff I've been exposed to , the principal Ms. Walden, Ms. Malloy the first grade teacher and even the schools secretary have all been professional and very eager to assist me in obtaining the appropriate learning environment for my daughter.Other Review8y ago - Ss Joachim & Anne School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis was my child's first year in this school. I feel that overall the school is a good school; however, I felt that my child's teacher was little lazy. The teacher would gave exams but would not give the students their books to come home with, so they could study. Then once they took the exams I never knew how my child did because the teacher would not send the exams home. I would always have to ask the teacher how my child did and the teacher would say fine; but would not send her home with the exams. I did not feel as a parent I should have to ask to see my child's test and have to ask the teacher over and over to send her books home so she could study. I felt that the teacher mean well, but did not want to put in the extra work. I love the fact that the classes are small, but feel that the teacher should try to help the students more and encourage them to always do well. I also do not like that this school does not have a school nurse and hope that they get one soon.Parent Review9y ago - Grace Lutheran Day School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGrace Lutheran Day School is a very nurturing school. Pastor and Mrs. Griffin (principal) is very approachable an loves all the students. One of the best teachers in the school is Mrs. Cummings!! They have small classroom sizes and great seasonal shows.Parent Review12y ago - Elishama Children's Prep School
