"Lots of green space for your dog to explore. There are local dog parks that are a short distance away from here that are great. Lots of dog owners live in the area."

"I’m visiting, but it’s like a lot of places in North Philly, lot of activity, lots is development, even in this older, more established area."

"There are a few good school and kids can no play in front of the house by themselves. There is a nice playground and good shops in this area. I like the neighborhood and there are dog papers in walking distance. The elementary and high school are in walking distance and Community College of Philadelphia are just around the corner."

"It’s a good place for dog owners!! Great dog parks and doggie day care. Clean and full of life. Safe and place to walk dogs and converses with others with animals. I don’t have a dog but if I did it would be nice to have one in this area. "

"There seem to be lots of kids but I would not let my kids play out on the streets much in their own. Yards are small if they exist. Nice playgrounds/parks nearby."

"My commute used to be the reverse commute- I drove from Spring Garden, north on I-95 to Street road to get to work- tons of traffic going south into the city. Very quick getting to work and always found parking if it was before 6:30 or so "

"Tree lined streets, diverse neighbors, feels residential but you’re actually so close to center city. I’ve yet to get an uber anywhere in the city that cost more than 9 bucks"

"I've lived in this community since 1978n and have always loved it. It's convenient to center city and to major arteries out of the city. It's well-served by public transportation, with quality restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. Street parking is controlled by city-enforced permits, to guarantee residents a place to park. The nightlife is quiet -- no honky-tonk or loud music. Views of the city's famous skyline are steps from the front door. "

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagei have been going to sfx since i was in kindergarten and it has been quite the experience. there are some amazing teachers there that i really built a great relationship with, while other teachers are a whole different story… Our principal can be very nice at times, but doesn’t really care to welcome certain families, let alone being there for over 40 years and now about to retire from her post as principal. As a student of color, sfx is a predominantly white school with not many students of color in almost every grade. sometimes i feel that i cant be myself even if i wanted to. the classes are small and i feel that you dont get to know many people, but from personal experience the students are very nice and ive made really good friends. i will be graduating next year and hope the school could be more accepting and welcoming to certain students and families.Student Review4mo ago5 Reviews - St. Francis Xavier
