"There are nearby parks / dog parks and a lot of dogs live in the neighborhood so you will have plenty of opportunity for socialization. There are a handful of dog friendly businesses, too! "

"I like it because when my neighbor walks with their dogs and they are always smiling and nice to us. They’re so clean and keep everything in neat condition. I feel more comfortable with them. Their dogs are very friendly "

"most dog owners wouldn’t like the poop all over the streets and then lots of trash too because dogs might explore the garbage bags and stuff."

"I love this place but, there is always CREEPS staring at me and making weird comments to me mostly where i live, Maybe it wont happen to you but it happens to me. And im pretty young. Parking gets taken up easily and there is dog poop everywhere, not on sidewalks mostly near trees. Robbery, drugs and other crimes happen here a lot. There is also so much drugged people. But my neighbors are good, they are friendly. ALSO, you might see random animals in your yard. Well, what I heard, but they are not harmful."

"Lower Moyamensing is a wonderful neighborhood. It's a mix of long tine residents and newbies, people are very friendly, it's not uncommon to see neighbors hanging it's together in the summer. While there are a number of good restaurants in the neighborhood, it's also just across Snyder fron East Passyunk's bars, restaurants and shops. Easy access to Center City via the BSL and buses, on a nice day it's a half hour walk. A hidden gem, great 19th century rowhomes still significantly less than those just North of Snyder"

"New to the neighborhood so still getting to know it but it’s got a lot to offer. Lots of places to eat and has a Starbucks and bank close by. Just doesn’t have a grocery store. "

"Dog owners would not like the environment because of trashes around the streets. Sometimes dogs pick dirty trashes thinking’s as toy. "

"diverse neighborhood, decently priced housing with access to alot of authentic and delicious food. Schools are lacking, we drive our son 10 minutes to a public school alittle farther away."

"People don’t really pick up their dog poop. People let their dog poop right on my property every day and I don’t know if they think it’s okay to leave it there, but it isn’t. "

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers were very nice and seemed to care about my son, who was in the younger kids room. Unfortunately, they didn't seem to know how to handle toddler frustration. My son has bitten a few times, and their only solution was to berate my husband for it. No solutions involving helping my son to communicate better, or giving him more stimulating activities. No acknowledgement that this is normal behavior for a 2-year-old. I don't think anyone there is certified or has child development experience. It's basically just babysitting. Today they kicked my son out, on a Thursday, said he can't come back again. No grace period, no warning, and we lose a day's worth of childcare that we paid for. ALSO MANY OTHER THINGS to complain about! We pay tuition, and yet are asked to bring paper towels, disinfectant wipes, and hand sanitizer to class. They give them pizza for lunch on Fridays, that I have to pay extra for every week. Why don't they just put those expenses into the tuition? Is that because they don't want it on record, on their taxes? Also this is a christian school and they teach that homosexuality is a sin. It bothered us but he's so young it doesn't matter yet.Parent Review9y ago3 Reviews - Our Lady of Hope

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI used to work with contracting services amongst OLOH and the teachers. Students are fine-most staff are truly friendly. Though during my time there, the principal was very rude towards her superiors. She’d have tantrums throughout the day going up and down. Her treatment towards the children was mediocre. She’d yell if kids had to use the bathroom, didn't have books covered, and if they weren’t silent in the lunchroom until they were told to be spoken too. Being a catholic school, OLOH struggles to be innovative and lacks a true administration team. It is ran by one principal and one assistant, who both lack a pleasant nor friendly demeanor. Public schools offer more than the services Catholic schools offer in terms of special education services. The fact that even the staff speak behind the principals back on how atrocious she can be, speaks volumes. OLOH needs a huge revamp in terms of administration and innovation. Out of all the Catholic schools in Philadelphia-I’d never consider for one moment, to have my children walk through those doors.Other Review2y ago14 Reviews
