"All in all my neighborhood is relatively quiet, you hear the occasional siren at times but it’s usually some gas or carbon monoxide alarm response. The parks are nice and well equipped, a good amount ofgreen space , family friendly."

"It’s a family oriented neighborhood so pets are welcomed by most. I live in an area of the neighborhood where there are several families with pets."

"Most people are friendly and have dogs. The school makes sure to get the kids on their way when school is let out. Many people maintain the streets clean so not a lot of alternate side parking."

"Some more dog runs would be a good local government investment for the community. The few we have are overcrowded at times. "

"My neighborhood has access to public transportation, travelling by car is preferred. The bus stop is near my home, the bus ride to the train station may take about 30 to 45 minutes. "

"Lovely area to live! Friendly neighbors, people look out for one another, relatively quiet. We’ve been raising our family in this area since 2014. The local public school aren’t good, but the charter schools in the area are, and there’s always homeschooling!"

"It’s very quiet, especially if you’re a couple of blocks away from the main roads like Linden Blvd, Springfield Blvd and Francis Lewis Blvd. Sidewalks are always clean, pretty spacious and a lot of parking. Public transportation is close by but far enough to not here the constant noise of traffic. "

"It’s such a lovely place to live. Truly is. We’re a family of 6 with one small dog. Pharmacy, restaurants, parks, doctors, dentist, street parking for visitors. It’s the suburbs feel with the city amenities. "

"I think all children should play in the park that’s provided , so it will be safer for them not to be in an accident and also better for us as parents not to worry "

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter has been coming since kindergarten and now graduating this year woohoo. Ps 176 has been great to us. The teachers Ms. Chu just amazing and caring, helped my baby love math and be comfortable with learning it. Ms. Spearman is so cool and down to earth and will literally recommend to you what can help your child do better in class. Ms. Alexander is great, Ms. Chouhan and Ms. Salmon are such a great duo together. I really enjoyed every teacher and staff is good as well. The school I would say after Covid they just don’t really allow parents in the school which is weird. I don’t remember the last time I saw my daughter’s classroom, so definitely need more interacting and being back more sports with Mr. Rivera he is the BEST!!!!! Track was awesome. Thank God for a great experience. I would say keep an open mind, stay kind , know who your child is!! ask questions and make sure parents that you are involved and staff see your face, know your voice as in you speak, you greet and you show up.Parent Review1y ago16 Reviews - Cambria Center For The Gifted Child

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageCCGC has been an amazing experience so far coming from the public school system to the private school system has been eye opening and glaring from the accessibility of the school's principal daily to time to meet and talk to the teachers to see what area your child may need to improve or just simply how they are doing. The teachers push the kids to get out the best of themselves. Most of the kids function two grade levels ahead generally speaking based on nationally testing. Academics is the school priority but the main theme you will notice is how family oriented the school is they encourage families to participate from the student field days where parents are encouraged to attend and participate to the Daddy daughter dances, Family movie nights it is truly inclusive, and I have been beyond impressed. The school also in assisting in guiding kids to great high schools and planning for your child's future. FYI the kids will be working so be prepared!Parent Review1y ago18 Reviews - Sacred Heart Catholic School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePlease do not send your child to this school. The list of all that is wrong at this school is just too long to write. Students and teachers leave mid-year just to get away. I heard the kindergarten class had three teachers this year alone, each one stating lack of support from the principal as their reason for leaving mid-year. The building is literally being held together with tape in some areas, where the building experienced pipes leaking. There is writing all over the bathroom walls and cracks all along the foundation, none of which seems to be fixed despite running fundraisers all year. The school's principal cannot even write an email to parents without it being riddled with grammatical errors. My children spent only one year at this school, and it was one year too many. I had heard this school was great about a decade ago, but has since gone to shambles, both literally and physically.Parent Review2y ago11 Reviews - The New Chapter Academy
