"Now that the stray cat problem is solved, if you're dog is a runner, you may not appreciate the squirrels."
  • Kim W.
"The neighborhood is nice but doesn’t have many shops and food dining’s here. Buses are very convenient "
  • Shannon W.
"I have lived here since December of 2016. Lots of diverse families and young adults and college students live around here. You can walk to the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception for mass or just to tour the inside. You can also walk to Monroe market place. The nail salon there is awesome and I love Brookland Pint for food, drinks, family friendly meal environment and nice happy hour specials. "

"Like any neighborhood, this one has its issues. But overall, I love it here. It's convenient to public transportation, shopping, and a little local nightlife."

"This area is pretty decent for families as there is a mix of families and college students with Catholic University nearby. There are elements of crime here, but where can you go these days and not have it. Overall, the neighborhood is great and so are most of the people here."

"With any neighborhood these days there's trouble spots and crime. But for the most part here, the neighbors are friendly and look out for each other and the kids. It still a pretty good neighborhood I don't mind living in. "

"I’m very happy with that neighborhood and wouldn’t mind to live there because it’s very friendly and quiet "

"While the area is in transition (due to gentrification), the 12th Street corridor is ideal for quick shopping trips. There are kid friendly parks and schools for families. There's even Catholic University for higher education, and Providence Hospital for medical needs. This is a very walk around friendly and quiet neighborhood."

"great location, close to the U.S. Capitol. needs more shopping, restaurants. 7-10 minute commute to work Catholic University, beautiful tree-filled neighborhood, but has no shopping. 24-hour good clean safeway about 5 minute drive. gated community."
