"Amazing neighbors, lovely parks and great schools - love living here so much! Only thing that would make it better is a local farmers market honestly!"

"My family grew up in Allied Gardens. It is a safe quiet haven for both family and single professionals. It is centrally located to both downtown and North County. It’s conveniently located to the airport and Petco Park and SDCCU Stadium for sports enthusiasts. "

"There is not a dog park here, where your dogs can run free and play with other dogs. But there is a park but they must be kept on a leash"

"Allied Gardens is a great place to raise a family. The schools are good, There’s plenty to do here at the recreation center, football, basketball, soccer leagues a great baseball program at Allied Gardens Little League where they teach young boys and girls the importance of team work and fair play. There is swimming at the pool and a wonderful park for the little ones. I often walk my Great Grandson there!"

"Plenty of lawns to defecate on in a nice sunny area with little to no crime, a few drug addicts have been spotted around and the occasional car snooper along with car break ins, but nice area overall"

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAmazing school with so many great things and activities like glow parties and movie nights for the kids to enjoy outside of class. It’s wonderful to see a school that makes sure students have fun while still staying safe. Our daughter had Ms. Tomik, who is an excellent teacher, and now she has Mrs. Rutten. Year after year, the teachers keep getting better and better. They care so much about the kids, their progress, and their success.Thank you all for your hard work and dedication. And thank you to the reception staff as well. We appreciate you all so much.Parent Review2mo ago30 Reviews - Marvin Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son is in Kinder this year at Marvin and we could not be happier. His teacher is involved and cares about his success. Whenever there is an issue she needs to bring up, she takes a collaborative approach and works with us, instead of pinning it on us to fix. My son is learning so much so fast and he is thriving. The PTF is amazing in providing math, science, art, and music to all class levels, even if the district only pays for 3rd grade and above. Most of the teachers have been there for their whole carreers, which says a lot about how much they care for the students, and how well the school site treats the staff. The Principal is also very involved in every day activities, and you can always see him outside helping with the school drop off and interacting with parents and students.Parent Review3y ago20 Reviews
