"I had a wonderful upbringing in San Diego and feel prideful to raise my own children here. It is safe and beautiful!"

"The cars drive fast and sometimes people are loud in the neighborhood but otherwise the area is nice and we have enjoyed it. "

"It’s a nice neighborhood, but just a few blocks South can get sketchy. Stay away from El Cajon Boulevard. "

"Small quaint neighborhood with random stuff, live music, food trucks, holiday parades, themed special events and very dog friendly makes this area a nice place to live and raise a family. "

"Unfortunately, a lot of people don’t clean up after their dogs. There are not a lot of places to walk to. This is not one of those neighborhoods where you can walk to a trendy area with restaurants, shops, bars, etc. "

"I love the freeway access. It has access to the 8, 15, and 805 all within a few miles. If you go north or West you will sit in traffic."

"A short drive to SDSU for classes, a short drive to the library, a short drive to the freeway. A car is required here. Very loud street noise, Collwood is a very busy street especially when SFSU is in session"

"Closeness to SDSU and ease of renting to students, no problem getting renters. Need a car or other mode of transportation, nothing in walking distance"

"No dog parks and there really aren't a lot of places for them to go off leash. But the neighborhood is nice to walk in. "

"It has great proximity to downtown San Diego yet feels like it’s own little community. The neighbors are incredibly friendly and everyone that owns has a heightened sense of ownership "

"It’s up and coming in some ways and rough and tumble in others. It feels like a show some nights. Eyes and ears open and it’s a good enough place."
