A certain un-named math teacher constantly yells at students and discriminates against students of color. My husband and I met with the principal about our concerns and they were ignored. We are pulling our children asap.
Posted by a parent on 11/8/2017We've had all five of our children attend Highland Arts Elementary School from Kindergarten through sixth grade, which has amounted to a 16-year partnership with our neighborhood school. I've been a regular volunteer there that many years as well. Highland is a great place to learn and make friends.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLet the new principle know how I felt about a teacher making both of my kids cry and was given the third degree about it being my "kids reality". As far as I am concerned, no one but me (the parent) gets to dismiss "my kids reality". If I have 2 kids who have problems with the same teacher and are coming home daily crying, it's a YOU problem.
