As far as I am concerned, no one but me (the parent) gets to dismiss "my kids reality". If I have 2 kids who have problems with the same teacher and are coming home daily crying, it's a YOU problem. Having a kid with behavioral issues is hard, but you are supposed to be professionals and HELPING my kids and not making them feel helpless.Parent Review1y ago11 Reviews - Franklin Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAll three of my kids have attended/still attending Franklin Accelerated Academy East and this school has always exceeded our expectations. We are so grateful how quickly our kids learned to read, and are excelling in almost all subjects. The teachers are mostly all amazing and care for the students.Parent Review1mo ago18 Reviews - Irving Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAbsolutely horrible, if you want your child to fall behind in learning and deal with petty teachers and principal enroll them here. Also, if you have any sort of custody issues and they don’t get what they want from you, they will underhandedly go behind your back to get what they want from the other parent so if you and the other parent do not work together and cannot be aware of what they do. They also team up and gather like hens if you make one of them upset. The education Mesa public schools offer is horrible. I would enroll your child in a different district altogether.Parent Review3mo ago10 Reviews - Longfellow Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI must say that the drop off feels very unsafe to be having elementary kids. Staff does their best to address this, but it still doesn't remove my fear fro my Kindergartner. Unfortunately my kid hates school now and has had many issues making friends and opening up about her days in school. Her teacher does do her best but i feel maybe she has too many kids assigned to her for a kindergartner teacher. They do address my daughters second language barrier and she has been able to overcome it and catch up with her class. The environment does not feel great for my kid either. Only some of the playgrounds have shade.Parent Review2y ago4 Reviews - Highland Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageRobson will call the police on your children for for no reason and also not call u to tell you and punish your child the whole day. Also the police will call u later to tell u about it even tho they did not and the police will let u know they should not have called and your child did nothing wrong. Most of the teachers and staff at this school are first year staff with no experience and a lack of knowledge. keep your loved ones away.Parent Review1mo ago3 Reviews - Johnson Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe love Johnson! There are so many incredible teachers and so many that have 10, 15, 20+ year at Johnson! We have felt so supported and uplifted by the school and its staff. We came during a big transition period but I have been so pleased with how the Principal and other staff listen to parents. I’ve enjoyed the true community feel of this school and the events they host. I try to stay involved and appreciate feeling welcome on campus. My son has had an IEP and been making great progress every year. Staff are busy but have always been great about answering questions or concerns quickly and clearly. No school is perfect, but we are so happy to be part of the Jayhawk family!Parent Review8mo ago9 Reviews - Porter Elementary School
