Read what parents are saying about Franklin Elementary SchoolLove this school!! Teachers, parents and administration involvement is top class and have their best interest at heart for children to succeed!! My kids absolutely love the school. My son went there from k-6 no problems and excellent grades!!! I have another son that is going to start 4th grade and my daughter starting 2nd grade this year. They have also excellent grades and as long as they continue to grow and improve than other children their age who do not attend Franklin East I will continue to send my other children there.
Posted by a parent on 7/30/2013Franklin used to be a great school but unfortunately has changed. They micro manage kids so badly that the children are like robots spitting out answers and not ever thinking for themselves. Taking my kids out was the best thing I ever did for them there personalities have really developed and they are no longer afraid to ask questions and explore new ideas at their new school. Franklin kids memorize answers but have little comprehension. Also the principle is not very honest!
Posted by a parent on 3/25/2013This is without doubt one of the best schools in Mesa, the 1 Star Haters who's kids couldn't hack it are obviously not helping their kids. Yes the curriculum is tough and it requires a great deal of parental involvement for the kids to be successful. No - a child with learning difficulties is not going to keep up here, so if your kid struggles at a normal paced district school - probably not a good idea to move them into Franklin. If my 4th Grader wasn't a Straight A Student and had struggled - I'd obviously be writing a different review, but she thrives here and there's no district school that can even compare.
Posted by a parent on 5/14/2012Let me start out by saying I attented Franklin East, my neices and nephews went there, my friends have children that go there and I absolutely love their curriculum. However, I am giving this school one star simply for the fact that the new principle is terrible. She handled a situation so badly my husband and I were required to get a lawyer to keep our son out of harms way. When we brought this to her attention she wouldn't speak to us, instead she contacted her own lawyer and had us talk to him. This proved to me that she knew she had taken the wrong action and was trying to cover her own tail. She lacks the same attitude of responsibility that the school teaches the children. Now after talking to other parents and to a former PTO president I have found that she is less than desirable in many parents eyes and that I am not the first to withdraw my child from Franklin because of her actions. Please be mindful of this as you research Franklin and be careful if you send your children there. I would hate for another family to go through the heartache we did.
Posted by a parent on 1/4/2012Now that we have seen the difference this school has made for our children we won't move out of the area! A proven curriculum and stellar music program has given my children advantages that I didn't have growing up. And Thank You, Franklin East for still having 2 half day class options for Kindergarteners!!

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a 8th grade student who has been learning at Harris since kindergarten, I don't really suggest this school due to the Food they served since late 2022 until now and staff doesn't really do that much do bullying, its just going to the office, probably a referral, and the bullying just happens again.Student Review1y ago - Holmes Elementary School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI highly recommend this school. The principal truly loves and supports the students in every way possible. The students feel seen and heard by her. There is an amazing support staff who are kind and knowledgeable and truly love the students and their families. Former students frequently stop in to see favorite teachers and get words of encouragement. I absolutely LOVE this schoolTeacher Review1y ago - Lindbergh Elementary School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI must say that the drop off feels very unsafe to be having elementary kids. Staff does their best to address this, but it still doesn't remove my fear fro my Kindergartner. Unfortunately my kid hates school now and has had many issues making friends and opening up about her days in school. Her teacher does do her best but i feel maybe she has too many kids assigned to her for a kindergartner teacher. They do address my daughters second language barrier and she has been able to overcome it and catch up with her class. The environment does not feel great for my kid either. Only some of the playgrounds have shade.Parent Review2mo ago - Lowell Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school has changed a lot and not for the better. The school has had huge staff turn overs at the end 2022 half the staff left. In 2022/23 at least 4+ essential certified staff members quit before the end of the school year. The teachers that are at the school work very hard, but it seems appeance is valued over respect and listening to staff. I highly doubt the 2022 & 2023 parent reviews.Teacher Review8mo ago - Keller Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeaching is great . The teachers are amazing when they respond to messages or call back on time. Besides that , everything else is HORRIBLE . Ive been taking my children here for three years , and each year safety just gets worse and worse . And noone cares . There is a lady who sits up front on the right side and she called me to verify where my children were suppose to go , and she still sent my 5 yesr old KINDERGARTEN DAUGHTER to the main street . I DO NOT RECOMMEND TAKING YOUR CHILDREN HERE .Parent Review2mo ago - Robson Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is one of the best schools I've ever encountered within me this Mesa School district. The front office staff to the principal and the amazing amazing wonderful loving caring teachers have gone above and beyond for multiple families over multiple years doing what they can to help the few students are successful in any way shape and form They take their time to really make sure that those children are learning what they need to learn and they're not going to become just another statistic.Parent Review1y ago - Porter Elementary School
