"This neighborhood definitely feels safe. It’s very hilly, and there are some crazy drivers so keep an eye out before crossing streets. I always keep kids and parents playing in the parks in the nice weather and there are quite a few public places to play. "

"The public high school isn’t very good but Cooke Wissahickon is decent to raise smaller children. The park is wonderful but housing in this area is so close together it’s hard to find a yard big enough to give kids room to run. "

"They enjoy lots of parks and open spaces as well as the available dog parks. Off leash dogs are trained well and owners seem to pick up after their pets."

" There are bus routes that go everywhere. There are stops through out the city and they run frequently. There are also train lines that run local and express routes. There are always Lyfts and Ubers trolling for the times that public transit can't fill. Because of our location to center city the cost is usually reasonable."

"We have excellent restaurants, movie theaters and our community a Theater the Ash center which is exceptional. We have several community organizations, supermarkets, pubs. We are the center of the universe 20 minutes to center city and 30 minutes to any suburb. My neighbors are my extended family. We chat online or we see each other when gardening or walking our dogs or invited for BBQ at each other’s home in the summertime. We watch each other’s home when one of us is away, and help each other whenever a hand is needed. I’ve been here 40 years and most of my neighbors have been here over 30. That’s what makes a real community"

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageYeah, this school isn’t the best, the new teachers are nice but a lot of the older ones are very lazy at teaching. They don’t care about the students mental health or well being and offer no counseling whatsoever. The unfairness to the upper grades is insane, they treat the elementary students way better then they do middle school, although they are working harder.Other Review5mo ago21 Reviews - Roxborough Christian School
