"Chestnut Hill is a quiet neighborhood with many lovely old houses. However after living here for over three years now (coming from Spruce Hill area in West Philly) I have to say that I can't wait to move out. It's almost too sleepy; there's basically no good restaurants, most of Germantown Ave is empty stores that no one can afford, the grocery stores (Acme, Fresh Market) are never stocked with fresh items or they're out of what you need. Most importantly, I do not experience any neighborly behavior, in fact, quite the opposite. Walking around and taking the same train every day, I see the same faces, and none of them are friendly. Also, there is no one under the age of 35. There's an elitist, NIMBY attitude here that you should definitely avoid if you can help it!"
