My son is in kindergarten and we couldn’t be more happy. It feels like home! The staff are friendly and know how to communicate. My son has an IEP and there are supports in place for him that he wouldn’t have at other schools. There is security and police presence at arrival and dismissal and it’s a
Posted by a parent on 9/23/2026I am lucky that Shawmont is my neighborhood school. The staff is friendly and there are a lot of great extra curricular programs for the students to participate in.
Posted by a parent on 3/2/2020There are a few staff members that are awesome, besides that, the majority of the staff has a "I am just hear to get a pay check" attitude. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageYeah, this school isn’t the best, the new teachers are nice but a lot of the older ones are very lazy at teaching. They don’t care about the students mental health or well being and offer no counseling whatsoever. The unfairness to the upper grades is insane, they treat the elementary students way better then they do middle school, although they are working harder.Other Review11mo ago - Holy Child School
