Barren Hill

Yeah, this school isn’t the best, the new teachers are nice but a lot of the older ones are very lazy at teaching. They don’t care about the students mental health or well being and offer no counseling whatsoever. The unfairness to the upper grades is insane, they treat the elementary students way better then they do middle school, although they are working harder.

SPN is a good school with strong education. At SPN, there are two classes in each grade, except for PreK, which has only one. SPN hosts many activities at the auditorium and gym. However, if uniform is a deciding factor when you pick a school, don't come to SPN. The summer uniform is comfortable, but it ends early November and doesn't start until late April. The winter uniform is the problem. You wear shoes which have no support and are very hard and hurt to walk on, navy pants, a blue button down shirt, a vest that is very scratchy and uncomfortable, and a tie. If it is very hot during Winter Uniform season, you still have to wear the winter uniform. Also, the school barely responds to bullying.

If you want to send your kid somewhere that they have small class sizes so they can work with your child at his/her own pace, really get to know your child and the way he/she learns, Plymouth Meeting Friends School is NOT for you. If you want to send your child to a school that will force them to perform at a level they aren’t at, not help them reach that level, and overwhelm him/her to the point where it’s seriously affecting his/her mental health, then Plymouth Meeting Friends School is for you.

I love it so, so much! It's has become a part of our lives that we will always cherish.
