I am lucky that Shawmont is my neighborhood school. The staff is friendly and there are a lot of great extra curricular programs for the students to participate in.

SPN is a good school with strong education. At SPN, there are two classes in each grade, except for PreK, which has only one. SPN hosts many activities at the auditorium and gym. However, if uniform is a deciding factor when you pick a school, don't come to SPN. The summer uniform is comfortable, but it ends early November and doesn't start until late April. The winter uniform is the problem. You wear shoes which have no support and are very hard and hurt to walk on, navy pants, a blue button down shirt, a vest that is very scratchy and uncomfortable, and a tie. If it is very hot during Winter Uniform season, you still have to wear the winter uniform. Also, the school barely responds to bullying.

Gladwyne Montessori—an amazing institution! It is pure magic how our two boys have developed the ability to reason intelligently at such a young age. It is surprising to see and know that they don’t just say things because they are kids, but things that make a lot of sense. My wife and I are trying hard to stay just one step ahead and not be outsmarted by them! We have been complimented on numerous occasions on how polite, well-mannered, and well-spoken our boys are. They have become so respectful, not only of other people, but of everything around them. It’s just beautiful. They have become so confident and outgoing. They are always first to introduce themselves and strike a conversation. I am seeing some future spearheaders and independent thinkers. Thanks again to the Gladwyne Montessori staff for helping to secure a firm base for the future of our children. (And they are eager to help if tuition seems out of reach!) There is so much, so much more positive growth I could talk about but we’ll cut it short... LOVING IT!

I love it so, so much! It's has become a part of our lives that we will always cherish.
