"I’ve been living here for almost 10 years. The streets and sidewalks are well maintained for the most part. Although the public transportation is not the greatest, it is easily accessed to all major roadways and surrounded by many iconic neighborhoods. "

"Compared to other areas Whitestone has larger lots and more single family homes. Most front yards are well kept, and relatively quiet.while bus is needed to get to trains, it is relatively a short ride and to the end stop of the 7 train. There are to a of bused in flushing. Relatively high and stable home ownership means you are likely to know your neighbors. "

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur daughter attended the G&T program at PS209 since kindergarten (shout out to our beloved Mrs. Pfeiffer!) and she is currently in 5th grade. PS209 is like family and she (we) always felt welcomed. She will be sad to leave when she graduates this coming June. It's bittersweet, because we are fully prepared to take on what middle school brings but we will also miss our friends at PS209. I have only one child but if she had siblings, they would definitely be enrolled here as I am completely satisfied with my daughter's education and life experiences learned at PS209. After reading reviews, I was surprised to read some negative opinions in regards to the staff or the school in general. I guess you can't please everyone. It's my experience that people who are happy rarely leave reviews, but people who are unhappy will always shout it from the roof tops. I hope my experience helps you make the right decision.Parent Review3y ago17 Reviews - Holy Trinity School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have 2 kids at this school who came from public school. From day 1 we could see the difference in not only the level of education but in how more was expected from them. The teachers are incredibly helpful, they are easily accessible and have been very good at communicating issues and achievements. This is a great school. We have actually decided to stay in College Point just so our kids can continue to attend here.Parent Review7y ago14 Reviews - St Lukes School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEverything at this school was traumatizing for my 6th grade daughter, who felt that she didn't have a friend group, as she said it felt cliquey, because as she said, "If you don't have friends by the first week, you won't have any at all." She only liked one teacher, who she had a study hall with. I don't recall the name of this teacher, but I think he taught 8th grade History. Besides this, my daughter felt as if she was all alone, and we resorted to going to a public school as an alternate option. Would definitely not recommend enrolling your child into this school, and I would suggest looking at The Master's Academy, a school down the road. My daughter didn't want to go potentially through that process again at another private school, so I didn't look at this option. Friends have said it was a good experience, so I would recommend it.Parent Review7mo ago20 Reviews - Efstathios & Stamatiki Valiots Greek-American Scho
