"The neighborhood is safe, clean and nice but if you choose to live here and you want to sleep in peace and like leave your windows open so you can breathe Fresh air than make sure your neighbors aren’t as loud and heavy smokers as ours because after a while it gets really annoying "

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has left me with lasting trauma regarding my child’s safety. In 2019, my four year old son was able to leave by himself undetected during dismissal. I found him half a block away by himself looking for me. It was pure luck that I was walking toward him and didn’t come up from the other direction. He could have been abducted, hit by a car, you name it. The school has since changed their dismissal procedure. When I called the following day to talk to the principal, they swept my concerns under the rug. Abysmal handling of both safety and justified parent concerns.Parent Review2y ago4 Reviews - Ps 159

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePrincipal Didio did nothing for my kid who got bullied and stated that he cannot ensure the safety of the children 24/7. Terrible principal, does not care about kids or parents. Please choose a different school if you canParent Review2y ago9 Reviews - Sacred Heart School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePlease do not send your child to this school. The list of all that is wrong at this school is just too long to write. Students and teachers leave mid-year just to get away. I heard the kindergarten class had three teachers this year alone, each one stating lack of support from the principal as their reason for leaving mid-year. The building is literally being held together with tape in some areas, where the building experienced pipes leaking. There is writing all over the bathroom walls and cracks all along the foundation, none of which seems to be fixed despite running fundraisers all year. The school's principal cannot even write an email to parents without it being riddled with grammatical errors. My children spent only one year at this school, and it was one year too many. I had heard this school was great about a decade ago, but has since gone to shambles, both literally and physically.Parent Review2y ago30 Reviews - Lutheran School Of Flushing & Bayside

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child never had good experiences in school; he didn't really understand the material being taught, especially in Math and Science, and bullying was present. At LSFB, the faculty really take the time to ensure the students are not only introduce to the material, but really understand the content and how to do the work. The hands on learning and research (not working on computers, chrome books, or iPads) encourage one to think about the process and show the work. The students are very accepting and learn how to properly interact without offending each other. Many friends are made at this school and returning alumni come back to check on their "little sisters and brothers."Parent Review1y ago11 Reviews - Our Lady-Blessed Sacrament School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIs the 3rd yr of my little one in this school. The first year we can’t engaged too much since that is a pandemic year. But school provides us online class and teachers are so kind to assist us a lot. Kindergarten was an off mode for us. Mostly because he principal knowing gonna be away for new y year or maybe the teachers wasn’t in good connect with parent. But I am so happy for this year , our class teacher very concerned about our kid and keep on ear to parents . Overall this is a great school for usParent Review2y ago6 Reviews
