"I live in New York all my life but is not a great place to raise kids. Everything is so expensive, and the living conditions are not safe .overall some people can be friendly and helpful."

"There are a few hosted by the different churches in the area but I don’t attend. Some of my relatives have, attended them but I don’t usually have the time. So I have not gone to any. But I assume they’re special and fun. "

"Quiet neighborhood if you live on the residential blocks such as single and two family homes. Property value went up, so if you decide to move you can make a profit."

"Tolerable depending on the time of the day (rush hour). It would take you about 45 minutes to an hour driving downtown. Best times to drive is in the night past 11. Worse times to drive downtown is in the morning at 6-11 and the afternoons from 2-8."

"It depends if you have children . Just make sure you know who your children hang around. The neighborhood may be sketchy in certain parts but if you keep to your self and pay attention to your surroundings you should be okay "

"This neighborhood is beautiful during all the seasons. The yards, sidewalk trees and the parks are gorgeous and well kept during the spring and summertime. In autumn the leaves and the holidays are colorful and fun. Then comes the winter... brutally cold days but picturesque at night. "

"My neighborhood has access to buses, but the train is a bit of a walk or a couple of bus stops away. The commute to 42nd Street, Grand Central Station, is about 50 mins. to an hour."

"Sometimes it is quiet, but it can get dangerous. The police presence does help a lot. The people aren’t bad. It’s just the younger kids who are up to no good are who make the area bad sometimes. It’s a nice and quiet area for the most part. "

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was very hesitant placing my child here, given the neighborhood and the ratings. But pre k was a good first experience for my child. His prek teacher was responsive to my questions and concerns about his first year in school. In kindergarten , my child was placed in "Leadership class" which help him stay with more "focused " students. his kindergarten teacher , was great. She seemed to have everything well organized for the kids. But thats were it stopped. After the first 2yrs i felt a disconnect bw parent and teacher. If you decide to join pta - don't expect to accomplish much without a dedicated office. Not treated with much respect. And the nurse at the school is a joke.Parent Review8y ago17 Reviews - Ps 182

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is honestly one of my worst experience ever. The principal is HORRIBLE. She do not care about these students academically. They will blow your phone completely up if your child is absent 1 day but in order to find out your child is falling behind in class you wouldn’t find out until parent teacher conference. The students get rewarded based off attendance and not their work performance in class. She holds her title as Principal over every one of her staff members heads. If your child have an Iep pleaseee please please don't send them here. They have no structure what so ever. This school is a big daycare. You have to pray your lucky enough to get one of the teachers who actually care about their students learning and trust me, ITS VERY FEW OF THEM! The principle hides in her office when a parent comes to the school and wants to meet with her. Its honestly nothing at this school to make the students WANT to be here. The list goes on and on. I can go on for days. To sum this all up. DO NOT PUT YOUR KIDS IN THIS SCHOOL. If all of us parents speak up we can make a change seriously. Start by getting the principal, assistant principal, and half the staff out of there asap. I cant speak for everyone but I’ll be at the board of ed everyday starting tomorrow until something is done. I’ll be emailing and contacting EVERYONE. MY VOICE WILL BE HEARD !!!!!Parent Review1y ago12 Reviews - Trinity Lutheran School
