I was very hesitant placing my child here, given the neighborhood and the ratings.But pre k was a good first experience for my child. His prek teacher was responsive to my questions and concerns about his first year in school. In kindergarten , my child was placed in "Leadership class" which help him stay with more "focused " students. his kindergarten teacher , was great. She seemed to have everything well organized for the kids. But thats were it stopped. After the first 2yrs i felt a disconnect bw parent and teacher. If you decide to join pta - don't expect to accomplish much without a dedicated office. Not treated with much respect. And the nurse at the school is a joke.

I took out my kids from this school because teachers are not qualified. They do not cooperate with parents.
