Little Danbury

This is a wonderful neighborhood school. The teachers and administrators care about and enjoy their students. The current principal grew up in Bridgeport which gives him a unique perspective. He does an excellent job of communicating with the families. The older students seem close-knit and supportive of one another, quite unlike my own middle-school experience. Most importantly, my recent graduate easily transitioned into high-school and felt prepared for the rigors of a freshman honors program.

My son went there back in 2015 for two years as part of primary school. We love everything about the school. The administrative staff and teachers were very caring. All the kids seemed to be happy and enjoyed the school and their peers. My son was shy when he started and was totally different person when he graduated. He was more open to new environment and more out spoken.

I would highly recommend St Thomas. My kids have graduated. We spent 12 years going from Pre K/K to 8. They are all now on to advanced classes in multiple high schools. They are happy and I am very happy. Wonderful families, teachers and staff. There are special poignant moments like first communion and confirmation, very moving events like Stations of the Cross, a fantastic sports menu - basketball, tennis, golf, skiing, cross country and more; plus the most special music director, an A+ counselor and most important an ever present optimism to make the next day better. We have made so many friends. My kids have wonderful relationships with teachers and students. I hope new families come!

I wish we liked this school more, unfortunately my husband and I decided to enroll our daughter in this school thinking it was a better and safer option for all of us, she is not even a full year in and I have felt disrespected on many different occasions, even when I was walking my daughter in , we were 5 minutes late and the principal didn't even greet us, he told us we were disturbing his class and just walked off. As a parent, I think if it really disturbed his class then why didn't they schedule a meeting with us because we weren't the only ones who were late that day. On another occasion during report card day my daughter never received her report card and I approached the teacher and asked what was going on. I was told that they told her she couldn't turn the report card in do payment reason i had to go to the office and ask and they said they thought we didn't pay our tuition for that month, and everything was up to date. My family and I expected more and respect from this school, we don’t feel welcomed and we feel like our daughter is not included.
