"I’ve seen fox and a lot of skunks. So animals are in and near. school is near by and it’s a nice place to walk your pet. A state park is up the street and a dog park is a mile away. "

"Once you live in ansonia or in the valley you become family with the sports teams and schools because it’s so small. So everyone has each other’s backs. "

"it it s a hilly and busy area with police department nearby. shopping not far but wouldnt want to eslk uphill with groceries "

"none really, most events are run into the schools for the children not really a complete community event except for harvest fest in October"
  • Peter W.
"The good, sidewalks well maintained and most of the houses have big yards to roam. The bad, very busy street and there is not a park within walking distance "
  • Lisa K.
"It's small and quiet and I like it that way and I'm happy here all the time and every day too its what I was looking for in a neighborhood. So that's how I really feel about my neighborhood in Ansonia, because it's quiet all the time, always, like every day, all day long."
  • Lorita F.
"I live here for 22 years my kids enjoy playing outside and the place its nice and clean. The neighborhood is kind!"
  • Kim S.
"I have lived in Ansonia for almost 4 years. It is a nice place to live. Transportation, grocery shopping & restaurants have improved. "
  • Karleen M.
"Some people don’t pick up poop, but most do. People walk dogs all the time. I don’t know what else to say about this topic on animals. "
  • Terrancemiller2003
"the are a lot of dog owners in the area and they use the neighborhood park for their dogs. unfortunately it is at the detriment to the kids in the neighborhood as the park always has a ton of dog poop so not even the little league likes to use it despite having two baseball diamonds. it would be nice if dog owners were courteous and used the back of the field as opposed to letting their dogs rome on the actual youth fields..."
  • Karleen M.
"There are always dogs walking in the neighborhood. They normally pick up after them and people are nice about having animals. "
  • Jaclyn H.
"Everyone is really nice and friendly but without being in each other’s business. The houses all seem to retain their value and everyone is conscious of taking care of their properties "
  • Angelfalero96
"Nothing it’s a great area. Quiet harmless and fun great football town. Boring at times, small hoods nothing crazy though."
  • J. S.
"I have lived here most of my life. It's not a nice place to live anymore. The taxes are high and they have gistoppo like commission called the blight commission that neighbors use to report on each other. The newest gistoppo tactic is to tire lock cars that owners are behind in taxes. "
  • Ian S.
"It’s ok here, I am only 20 and lived here my whole life. Honestly, it is a good place to start a family maybe not settle down for too long because the roads are bad in many places hahaha but otherwise it’s nice here."
  • Pr1nc3ss210
