"My neighborhood is family-oriented with distinct yet harmonious homes with well- kept yards. We are a short trip from Bridgeport, Norwalk, and Stamford with excellent connections via Metro North and I-95."

"This location offers the best of both worlds. Dedicated open space areas and walking trails in the neighborhood make it feel close to nature. The Metro North station is within walking distance and the close proximity of I-95 make commuting easy - about an hour from NYC!"

"Southport is a small little village in Fairfield that is quiet, safe and close to the water. We love walking our dog and kids down to the boat club and little beach. "

"Our family block parties and outdoor activities coupled with the Beach just a minute away makes this the perfect Fairfield County neighborhood. We walk minutes to the train station and our boat is just 10 minutes away . Wakeman Boys and Girls Club just 5 minutes away and we love the proximity to everything. A very established and beautiful location to raise a family. We just Love the area. The builder has just built an amazing home that is simply fabulous and built to the 9's. Cheers!"

"Southport village is a rare treasure, so close to New York City: a stable, very upscale but unpretentious seaside community. Some Southporters trace their roots back to pre-Revolution days. Others have been more recently welcomed here. Once they learn how wonderful Southport really is, no one wants to leave. The community stays close, because there are so many activities available within the village. For many, it means a walkable lifestyle. There are two beaches, for starters. There's a harbor filled with yachts and smaller boats. There's a golf club with swimming and tennis, and commanding views over Long Island Sound. There's a historic library/community center, informal bars and a couple of special-occasion restaurants, a pharmacy where customers are known by name, an art gallery, and so on. There's a club for kids' team sports. Education options include the highly-rated Fairfield public schools; Greens' Farm Academy, Fairfield Country Day School and Fairfield Prep among private options. Also in Southport Village is Eagle Hill School, for children with learning disabilities. The focus of this school, which draws students from the entire area, is to support children so they can rejoin mainstream academics after their Eagle Hill experience. The heart of Southport Village, with its exquisite historic architecture, is protected by a historic association, so its charm will remain unchanged. Its way of life, with enduring friendships enriched by outdoor fun, is even more special. "

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy eldest child had a speech delay coming into Mill Hill and tested out of all speech programs by the end of third grade with the help of so many supportive staff members. My youngest was diagnosed with dyslexia early on due to the diligence of staff members and has continued to grow tremendously with the help of the dedicated staff. I am forever grateful to the consistent support my children both received at this school to be successful. The staff is like a big family who cares for my kids as if they were their own.Parent Review9mo ago11 Reviews - Giant Steps Connecticut

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt is extremely disheartening to think any parent, or student for that matter, can come on this site and personally attack a teacher, even mentioning her by name. A bit of advice...if you are seriously looking at schools for your child, the best thing that you can do is go out and visit them for yourself. Talk to the administrators, meet some teachers, and observe some of the students. Trust your instincts, and take with a grain of salt the words of the anonymous internet posters.Other Review9y ago10 Reviews
