"Dog friendly and most dog owners are respectful of other people’s property. Some dog poop bag stations are set up at St. Mary’s by the Sea; a popular walking park along the coast."

"The houses, the people, the mix of cultures and the strong sense of community. Black Rock is a wonderful place with an express train to GCT from the Fairfield Metro station, a 10 min walk. Can’t get parks, the water, affordability, community like this anywhere else in Fairfield County. "

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a wonderful neighborhood school. The teachers and administrators care about and enjoy their students. The current principal grew up in Bridgeport which gives him a unique perspective. He does an excellent job of communicating with the families. The older students seem close-knit and supportive of one another, quite unlike my own middle-school experience. Most importantly, my recent graduate easily transitioned into high-school and felt prepared for the rigors of a freshman honors program.Parent Review4y ago8 Reviews - Catholic Academy of Bridgeport-St. Ann Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI wish we liked this school more, unfortunately my husband and I decided to enroll our daughter in this school thinking it was a better and safer option for all of us, she is not even a full year in and I have felt disrespected on many different occasions, even when I was walking my daughter in , we were 5 minutes late and the principal didn't even greet us, he told us we were disturbing his class and just walked off. As a parent, I think if it really disturbed his class then why didn't they schedule a meeting with us because we weren't the only ones who were late that day. On another occasion during report card day my daughter never received her report card and I approached the teacher and asked what was going on. I was told that they told her she couldn't turn the report card in do payment reason i had to go to the office and ask and they said they thought we didn't pay our tuition for that month, and everything was up to date. My family and I expected more and respect from this school, we don’t feel welcomed and we feel like our daughter is not included.Parent Review1y ago22 Reviews - Geraldine Claytor Magnet Academy
