"My commute downtown is reliable, but a lot of people during rush hour use it There should be more muni’s during rush-hour "

"I commute down to the Peninsula from Parkside for work M-F and it is easy to get on 19th Ave, Junipero Serra, or Sunset to get on the freeway. The construction on the roads have made it very delayed for commuters, but overall it’s a good connection to commute south. "

"It is a very open and friendly neighborhood. It is mainly residential with some farmers markets, groceries stores, restaurants, coffee shops and markets. It is by the beach and plenty of parking"

"I take the L train to work! It’s a bus now with covid but back in the day it was about a 25 min trip. Now on the bus it’s about an hour. Love my commute though! "

"It’s a suburban part of San Francisco. Close to Ocean Beach and walking distance to shops. Lots of playgrounds and park space in walking distance. "

"The commute was easy to get to downtown howeve, now MUNI is changing the routes and there will be an added transfer necessary at WP station which will add delays."

"40 mins to downtown generally, can make it in 30 mins if you time it right, but should leave 1 hr for important meeting since Muni can have delays often"

"There’s a park across the street from my house and many in the area, I feel like a dog family would love it here. The beach is very close and many homes in the area have lawns to accommodate dogs as well!"

"Parkside is rated “dog friendly” it is not. Just a warning, not much to do out here. A few good businesses and restaurants. "

"We don’t really have community events, the nicest thing has just been when we’ve had food trucks come to our large round about area. I don’t really expect this neighborhood to have community events, it’s mostly college students."

"I’ve lived here for 8 years. There is a huge lack of trees here. A lot of concrete and rows upon rows of houses with concrete front yards. Sad."

"Wide roads and single family homes. It's close to the beach, the SF zoo, and the Great Coastal Highway. There are great authentic restaurants, from Chinese food to Irish grub. Stern Grove has a festival every weekend in the summer with lots of great music. We have easy access to different parts of the city."

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love RLS! My daughter was assigned this school (our area school) in Kindergarten. The principal is so engaged and knows every single kid. The classroom teachers go above and beyond to ensure that each child gets the learning environment that they need. The families are kind and most live right in the neighborhood. The community events are fun, we especially like the Lunar New Year celebration each Spring.Parent Review4mo ago21 Reviews - Ulloa Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids have been attending for 4 years now and they love their school. My kids answers to “how was your day?” Everyday the answer is great! We have amazing, dedicated teachers, I feel so lucky to be in a school with so many amazing teachers. There is a really strong parent community here. It’s easy to get to know other parents and form friendships. Strong active PTA also. Parents are never expected to volunteer but always made so welcome to help out and be part of classroom. This to me is one of the things I love best in this school, the welcomed engagement with your kids learning. I love our wonderful neighborhood school. And even better it feeds to Aptos middle school- a very good and continuously rising school, almost now rivaling AP Gianini .Parent Review2mo ago44 Reviews - Edgewood Center For Children & Families
