  • Trulia User
"It’s not the same neighborhood that it used to be but that is the sad story all over San Francisco! "
  • Bryce P.
"This neighborhood is the best neighborhood because of all of the people, the places, and the things. I really enjoy living here and hope to remain here all of the time. "
  • Kelli B.
"I've lived in West Portal, a San Francisco neighborhood, for over 5 years. I love all the friendly people and the small town vibes. We have a great Greek restaurant (Orexi) and an authentic and delicious Italian restaurant (Trattoria da Vittorio). We have lots of trees and grassy areas. Lots of families and people walking their dogs. We have a cinema if you would like to catch a movie, hair salons, nail salons. We have one of the best bakeries in the city, Noe Valley Bakery. With Muni, it's a quick trip to anywhere in the city."
  • "1-3 block walk to almost any retail or restaurant. 1 block to 2 muni streetcar lines that get you downtown or anywhere along market in 20 min or less. Very family and pet friendly with one of the best parks and probably the best dog park in the city 3 blocks away (Sigmund Stern). On street parking is one of the easiest in the city. Stonestown farmers market is top notch. You are 5-8 minutes from 280. SFO is a 15-20 minutes drive. "
  • "The homes are tidy, the neighbors are nice, the area is quiet, the Village is close by with a great walk score and transportation is close at hand-either MUNI to down town or freeways to the Peninsula. It is a sleepier neighborhood, so if you are looking for excitement and nightlife, this isn't the place."
  • "Great neighborhood location to MUNI, Hiway 1, Hiway 280, Portola Ave., Lake Merced, Ocean Beach."
  • "safe and quiet. Detached homes. Easy parking. SAFE."
  • "Fantastic area very close to downtown via L train. Safe. Family oriented."
