What Locals Say about Forest Knolls

  • Rob C.
"Like much of SF, there are many people with dogs here and they walk them all the time. Everyone is diligent about cleaning up after them as well. In fact it’s a great neighborhood to walk around with or without a dog. "
  • Susanchim
"We do not often see children here. We more often run into people who own dogs. It would be nice to see more families, but the cost of living is high."
  • Nowucblanco
"Forest Knolls lives up to its name. This small neighborhood in San Francisco feels like an escape from the bustle of the city, yet is centrally located. It's the most wooded neighborhood I know of, unless you live in the Presidio. It is blessed with excellent views of the western side of the city, and if you enjoy hiking then you've got Mount Sutro (in some cases literally) in your backyard. "
  • Jeff G.
"I live here from 1977. The best area for living. 10-15 minutes to down town and freeways. Gated community, with a clubhouse - new sport equipment and common area. Quite and safe living. "
  • Joeblitzflick
"Love this neighborhood. You know your neighbors, people help each other out, and yet the best of san francisco is very close by. lack of stores/restaurants means no on ever comes to this neighborhood except to see friends who live here. Cookie cutter houses, appears soulless, but once you're there, it's wo nderful."
