"This place has changed so much since i first was here 30 years ago. Fisherman’s wharf was charming, quaint, vibrant. Now it’s chain restaurants, empty storefronts dirty , & overrun with homeless, a few of whom are clearly in need of mental health support & NOT benign to visitors. After the first night in our hotel, I told my Huz I would not walk my dog at night here again. "

"Touristy, so a bit crowded during peak times. See dogs being walked often near the northpoint apartments area."

"I grew up here and I would recommend it in a heartbeat. It's within walking distance to parks, Chinatown, Little Italy and even downtown! You'll never have to worry about finding parking in any of these places. The crime rate is pretty low. The only thing you may have to master is patience for parking. You may get frustrated but it won't take long to adjust. You'll also be close to grocers, cafes, pool, gyms and library. The area is a mix of families, working professionals and retirees - so you'll blend in just fine! Come check it out sometime and walk around the neighborhood!"
