"Food & Bars: Great restaurants everywhere with an emphasis on Italian & Seafood. For drinks, you can find almost anything from hole-in the-wall dives, to pubs, to wine bars, and cocktail lounges around every corner. There’s always something going on somewhere it seems, which could be a pro or con based on your preference. Weather-wise: It gets a bit chilly here compared to some parts of the city, but is usually pretty bright and sunny by mid-day. Safety-wise: In my opinion, one of the safer neighborhoods in SF. I feel comfortable walking around here at just about any hour of the night Location: Easy access to parks like Presidio, Chrissy Field Beach, or Marina Green and in ~15 minutes and you can be across the bridge. It is a bit of a commute to get downtown every day though, so definitely something to consider. "

"On of the best neighborhoods in the city right next to an urban national park (Presidio), very walkable, family oriented, lots of amenities, excellent transportation. "

"One of best areas in SF, at quiet end of Union St and close to the Presidio. Great restaurants and shops, also easy walk to Chestnut St, the best of San Francisco living. "
