Fully Furnished Rustic Log Apartment On The Edge Of The Wild!
(Queen Bed, Queen futon, electric recliner, table and chairs, etc.... Has in unit washer and dryer. Its not new, but its homey and comfortable.

A great location if you are tired of the bustle of the big city! We are about 12 miles from Anchorage, with no stop lights until you hit Muldoon. The house is nearby acres of woods, directly on the lighted ski trails of the Chugiak High school (outside of Eagle River).

If you are relaxed, outdoorsy, and enjoy being in a nice neighborhood, this could be the spot for you. It is a family neighborhood, so drugs, drinking, and drama are not appreciated! But, you can ski, swim, and boat within easy distance from the house, making it a great place if you like to get outside!

 You can walk to the large pool at the high school, jump out the door to over 18 kilometers of lighted ski trails all winter long, or run around the corner and watch the sled dogs at their clubhouse.

Several nice small lakes are nearby for kayaking/canoeing on. The community of Eagle River is about 3 miles away, and accessible by bike paths.

This is a great spot if peace and tranquility are part of what you ware looking for in Alaska. It is not the quietest apartment, but we have had several folks that have stayed with us for several years. Just takes the right person :-)

Only available for a single or couple with a single vehicle. Sorry, no room for big toys :-).

We share our lives with a exuberant 1 year old dog and 3 indoor cats, so if you are not a fan of animals it might not be a fit. We would like to find someone that might be interested in pet sitting occasionally if possible.

Please have steady employment or win the lottery prior to apply!

    "There are plenty of places to walk with paths and parks around the area. At least the park where the Bear Paw is held has poop bags already there, which makes it a nice place with a wide area to take your pup. "

    "The roads are ROUGH in the winter! People say it’s well maintained, but the road gets VERY narrow, and there is so much snow sometimes the plows won’t get to the side streets until well after 10am. Good luck getting to work! You definitely need 4wd and good winter tires or studs!"
