The community was named after Edward Everett, statesman. Everett is a city in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, near Boston. As of the census of 2000, there are 38,037 people, 15,435 households, and 9,554 families residing in the city. In the city the population was spread out with 21.6% under the age of 18, 8.9% from 18 to 24, 34.8% from 25 to 44, 19.9% from 45 to 64, and 14.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females there were 91.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.4 males. Everett is home to the set of the ABC pilot "Boston's Finest." Everett was also a setting for the Ben Affleck's film Gone Baby Gone.

    "Depending on the casino traffic, it is either 7 mins to cambridge or 27 mins. Also, the bridge to Cambridge by community college needs to be expanded to handle the increase in residential dwellings on the other side of the orange line that now cross there daily."
