"This neighborhood has an extremely high walkability score. Laurel Village is 5 minutes away and has businesses that meet most everyday needs: 2 local independent grocery stores, wine shop, Walgreens, Ace hardware and 5&10, banks, bookstore, card shop, mini Sephora(planned) and a 24/7 Starbucks. In addition, within a 20 minutes walk there is a City Target, Trader Joe’s, US Post Office, FedEx Office and an Office Max. The local Jewish Community Center opened to all has some of the best fitness programs in the city and the Presidio National Park abutting the neighborhood has beautiful hiking trails down to the water. "I've lived in this neighborhood for about 4 years and raised a small family here. It's mostly full of families, or older folks and there are a few shops, although none of them are very interesting, but quiet streets and good playgrounds and parks for the kids. Weather is borderline for San Francisco, generally good, but it can be on the wrong side of the fog line during some days in the summer months, but it's 5 mins to get over the golden gate bridge and the Presidio Park is just there and so it's incredibly easy to escape. The Presidio Park has had quite a lot of work done to it over the last few years and really a great asset that people are just starting to rediscover. Super safe, not cheap, quiet and quite uneventful (in a good say)."
