  • Trulia User

  • Bonnie S.
"Its a unique neighborhood! It feels like a community, and I also the proximity to golden gate park. The area is very walkable as well. "

  • Lelee62883
"It’s next to the golden gate park and it’s great to walk your do. It’s also not far from several different hikes that you can get to by car like lands end, baker beach and fort Funston. Not all people in this area follow the leash law which can be frustrating. "
  • Kcdenali
"Monthly block parties/festival half the year at 9th and Irving on Sundays. Good vibes. Ocean breeze. Good schools. Safe. Weekly Farmer’s Market on Sundays at 9th and Irving. N Judah Golden Gate Park Great places to eat at or order take-out from. :)"

  • Travis S.

  • Christine K.
"Neighborhoody but safe. Smack dab in the middle of downtown and Ocean Beach. Love the proximity to GGP! "
  • Sung P.
"There’s the Golden Gate Park, couple vets, and a pet store. Great place for dogs for sure. Some owners don’t pick up the poop, most do."
  • Stephani M.
"It’s a really lovely, family-friendly neighborhood. I’ve lived in the area for 13 years and I think it’s a really great community. The park is nearby which is fantastic and we have a little food maker in walking distance. Most of it is flat, so it is very walkable. And transit is very easy to get downtown or to the beach."
  • Laura D.
"I’ve lived here almost three years, and I still think to myself how lucky I am to live in such a cute, walkable, pretty neighborhood. Also the restaurants are amazing. "
  • Laurelei L
"This is a great neighborhood, not too fancy, just a mix of people from all walks of life. Lots of dogs, kids, old and young people. Can be greatly impacted by large events in GG Park, which is a blessing and a curse. Well served by public transit. Summer weather pattern can be brutally cold and foggy - takes getting used to and can be frustrating for those not accustomed to the fog belt, but it does help keep the neighborhood from feeling too crowded. I should know as I’ve lived here for over 25 years. Definitely ‘home’ to me. "
  • Kelley
"I love our location. Very central, right by the park, easy transportation. Lots of great restaurants."
  • Cclay715
"Clean, quiet with restaurants shops and muni close by. The park and all it has to offer is walkable too. "
  • Blakeley K.
"The neighborhoods generally feel quite safe, the SFUSD schools are strong, and the proximity to the park and a wide variety of decent eateries makes the Inner Sunset a nice place to live."
  • Jeff D.
"This is a college neighborhood with UCSF up the hill. It’s cold and foggy and the nights are blustery. If you’re looking for the sun you should live on the east side of twin peaks. "
  • Sharon A.
"I drive to work but there are multiple bus lines at the Inner Sunset which make it very convenient to get anywhere especially downtown, Marina, and the Mission."
  • Smartinsf
