Read what parents are saying about Stanley C Stanley Elementary SchoolBy far best decision we made was moving to this district, they make you feel so involved as a parent our children excelled here more than our previous district. Our daughter was so happy with the teacher and staff. Definitely recommend.
Posted by a parent on 10/8/2023This is the worst school our child has attended, from academics to discipline it is not worthed to buy such expensive house in the neigborhood with such horrible school to go.
Posted by a community member on 5/24/2019The principal is bringing the school down unfortunately. Stanley started as a great school until another principal took over. Many teachers are leaving . Which is very alarming. 2015/16 school year ended with 23-25 teachers are leaving. It is very alarming. I wish KISD would look into this issue, which is the principal and also assistant principals. I am very sad because it started out to be a great school.
Posted by a student on 8/17/2016We learned this year that Stanley employs instructional coaches for the teachers. They manage the overall process and systems. Their input on our child's progress is another reason we are astounded by and in love with this school! We have been incredibly impressed with the dedication to open communications, timely updates on progress, and focused programs.. The library and facilities are fabulous. We have not experienced issues due to overcrowding. The monitoring and testing performed at the school gives great guidance regarding our child's progress and challenges. This is an incredibly competitive school system. Therefore, many kids entering went to preschool full day for years before entering. Therefore, if your child does not know many sight words before entering, that will rule your life for months.
Posted by a parent on 5/27/2016We love this school. We just came to Katy almost 2 years ago and the teachers and staff in Stanley always have been very kind and lovely. My daughters didn't speak English when they started in this school and they have had all the support and stimulate that they need to learn. Now, they speak English perfectly and their grades are amazing.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school nurse is very unprofessional and does not seek to follow the law. She only contacts one parent and not both if a child is sick even after being informed that the child lives with the parents separately. So, when the custodial parent calls for information the nurse is very reluctant to give it and tries to suggest that the parents have to discuss these things with one another. Unfortunately, some times that is simply impossible. Instead of exhibiting friendly services or seeking to properly do her job for the well-being of a child, she actually took it upon herself to say she does not want to be involved in a “custody battle”. As a working professional I would’ve expected any employee of Hubenak staff to know that they should know that any custodial parents have a right to be informed of their children’s Health and Education needs at all times. According to Texas law, the school has an obligation to keep parents informed upon request without bias and that unfortunately does not happen here. The unprofessionalism is appalling to say the least. No employee should be allowed to inform a parent of their partaking in irrelevant gossip with another parent concerning legal matters. Fort Bend County laws should be followed as it pertains to each student equally when it comes to child safety and parents being informed. Unless the staff can be effectively trained in how to communicate with parents I do not recommend this school.Parent Review1y ago - Tom Wilson Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageToday TWE had a Thanksgiving party for students . Our granddaughter is in 4th grade .WOW what a disappointment. 1) teacher was absent .. had a sub 2) 71 year old grandfather had to STAND for 1 hour .. no chairs provided 3) Only students were given snacks . I am a retired teacher …35 years total …25 in elementary. This is awful .Test scores might be great but personal relations with parents / grandparents are terrible.Parent Review1y ago - Fred And Patti Shafer Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePoor management and inept teachers. This school goes to great lengths to seem open and inclusive where in fact the reality is quite the opposite. Teachers are perpetually fumbling with the curriculum. Teachers cannot control classrooms because they don’t know how to relate to students. It’s a cookie cutter environment with no creativity whatsoever. We are disappointed on so many levels. The Shafers are great people but the school is atrocious in its efficiency. Teachers complain at everything and they aren’t able to be flexible or have the expertise to operate in a diverse environment. Worse school climate I’ve witnessed.Parent Review1y ago - Kids 'R' Kids of Katy

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHave 2 kids going to this elementary school and we love it. The teachers and administration make great efforts to engage positively with all children. There are many good teachers and also a GT program for students who are especially motivated and exceptional. We love this school and teachers and think its a very good school. I can imagine in this day and age, the staff has to tread a very fine line given how much pressure they get from variety of angles (parents, senior admin, politics etc) but over all they do an exceptional job. Many teachers and staff reside in the neighborhood and take interest in making sure students have an all around positive experience.Parent Review1y ago - Keiko Davidson Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNot a good school. Rating is purely a reflection of the socioeconomic status of the majority of the students. The teachers are incompetent. If you like state sponsored daycare, this is your school. Kids that are advanced will do well on STAAR, so there is zero focus on them. They sit and stagnate.Parent Review8mo ago
