Not a good school. Rating is purely a reflection of the socioeconomic status of the majority of the students. The teachers are incompetent. If you like state sponsored daycare, this is your school. Kids that are advanced will do well on STAAR, so there is zero focus on them. They sit and stagnate.
Posted by a parent on 8/16/2023As a past student of this school, IT WAS TERRIBLE. I was a C student, 10-11, with parents that did not care for my well-being. I went to school almost everyday with messy hair, clothes mix matched, and the teachers at this school do not care for you. It was very clear something alarming was going on

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThey keep changing the rules. I have had kids in this school since 2013 and they keep changing when I am allowed to eat with my kid. I am no longer allowed to drop off items when my child forgets them. A 10 year old is going to forget their lunch and I need to drop it off. Yes, she can buy lunch but the food there is inedible and hurts her stomach. I have a daughter that has gone through the entire system of Stanley, SLJH and then SLHS and now have kids currently at Stanley. This school has been so good for our kids and their education has thrived here. Teachers genuinely care about the kids and having one that is 504 he has been through the sped program and has done amazing and has placed master level on the staar test!
