Our daughter went here and her VPK teacher was great. Her time here was wonderful and was a great starting point for her school experience. Her socialization and education was a good and solid experience. Wonderful to see teachers and assistants that enjoy teaching, it does make a difference

We switched to Sexton last year halfway through and are so happy we did! Our kids are involved in so many fun events and love the parties they get to attend with their points. My youngest was in 1st grade and was reading at level when he started here. He was at a 3rd grade reading level and bringing home 3 page stories he wrote at school. The teachers and administrations communicate very well and I always feel like I know what is going on at the school and with my children. I feel that they really focus on the individual child and work with them to reach their full potential.We have had a very positive experience and both of my boys are so happy at Sexton. My oldest even discovered he loves running through the running club and is so excited for battle of the books this year!

My daughter is only in second grade so I haven't had enough experience to really decide how stringent the academics are. Sadly, if you live in St. Pete there are very few good schools to choose from. There is no sugar coating it, Public schools in the area are flat-out bad. The other two private schools nearby are over $25k/ year. This school is more reasonably priced and from what I understand is better academically than the public schools. I can see a big difference in my daughter's friends who go to better schools in Tampa. The technology, math, and science here seem to be severely lacking compared to highly rated schools in Tampa Bay. I'd overall say this is a step above the public school options though.

We been overjoyed by our experience at Grace. There are more opportunities for sports, the arts and academic excellence than I initially expected from so small a school, but the small size is also one of the greatest perks. My kids feel like members of a family.

Everyone I know who went here had a terrible experience. They are not there for their students.

This is our third year at St. Raphael’s, and we honestly couldn’t be happier. We transferred in during elementary school and were immediately welcomed with open arms. The sense of community here is amazing. Families are involved because they want to be, not because they have to.Our kids are excited to go to school every day, which says everything. They know almost every student, and the staff knows them (and us!) by name. It’s clear they care about each child as a person, not just a student.The teachers have been wonderful, and academics are strong. Annual test scores are always above the diocesan average. The school has also invested in security, which is sadly necessary these days, but very reassuring.I love that it’s one school from VPK through 8th grade, so there’s no big, stressful transition in middle school. The waterfront campus is beautiful, and there are so many extras for my kids like choir, theater, clubs, sports - you name it.They also take a smart, balanced approach to technology: no phones or smartwatches during the day, teaching real-life skills like typing and Microsoft Office, and even reading The Anxious Generation as a staff.Like anything in life, you get out what you put in. As parents, we've made the choice to get involved by volunteering our time and partnering with the school to support positive growth. We do it because we truly love the community and want the best for its future.
