"Overcrowded, overpriced, overrated. It’s a difficult life and way to live. Perhaps it suits some, but it doesn’t feel like a place I can call home. "

"Very dog friendly. There is also a lot of space to live around and there aren’t too many people. People also clean up after their dogs. "

"We don’t have any community things here but it’s a good place to live. I have lived here since the 1980s and it’s getting more diverse by the year. I like it no complaints. "

"This is a fairly decent neighborhood but there is no parking. The schools aren’t really great but you can get into other schools that have lotteries. "

"Summer marathon at Edison park since I was a kid. Nothing much else. It’s dirty, packages are stolen often, drug rehab halfway house has steadily made it more and more dangerous "

"I am living in this area for over 12years now. The community has been drastically changing. Things are getting quite expensive day by day. It is still good, quite neighborhood to live with families. Library, Parks, supermarkets, public transportations are near by. I wish we could feel more safer at night like before. Now and then you can hear notifications in citizen app about something going on in the neighborhood. Alot of things going on everyday!"

"It is a very congested area. I would not try to raise a big family here. It gets pretty noisy if you live next to the parkway during the warm days"

"I've lived here since I was born and people are friendly enough. It's very multicultural and exciting, and it is very safe. I would definitely raise a child here, and I would also recommend it for single people and anyone else."

"beautiful, peaceful neighborhood. People keep to themselves but not in mean way as if you are intruding. If they have information that they feel is necessary they will tell you."

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have my children in this school for the past 5 years and I've seen a serious decline in numerous areas of teaching, coordination, accommodations, and response. This is just a few of the things that are honestly terrible within PS 131 - Abigail Adams. Another issue is the way children are spoken to among not the non-teaching staff. I get countless complaints of the nasty persona of these personnel towards the children. Not to mention the overcrowding of the school. The structuring of the school needs a SERIOUS revamp. They do not provide A/C for the children during heat wave situations. I have experienced the heat myself and have seen friends of my children sent to the nurse do to heat exhaustion. My child has even been told - the less you move the better. This is unacceptable. I could continue my review but it would be extensive.Parent Review7y ago18 Reviews
