"Honestly the area is not how it was when I grew up and Iām just trying to move away from here. The school is just a mad house and the high school is no better your gonna have to put you kid in catholic school. The rents are crazy high and the houses are over priced. Lots of kids that hang out in the area. "

"Quiet and calm, neighbors are very helpful. I do think we can do a better job my keeping the sidewalks a little more cleaner than they are at this present time. The amenities in the neighborhood are good for family upbringing and with public transportation so accessible I think Pelham Gardens as the potential to be an amazing community."

"Dog owners would be at home in this community. As there are several dog owners who resides and complies with the popper scooper laws as well. The side walks and road ways are free of dropping as animal lovers extend respect for the entire neighborhood."

"Too many rentals have changed the neighborhood. Renters tend to not care about keeping the property clean and they often lack consideration for their neighbors. I am moving by June."

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter attended Throop from K-5, and graduated in 2020. I felt that she had received a well-rounded education from Throop. All her teachers were friendly, kind, and respectful. My daughter is currently in grade 8 and she still remembers all her teachers from Throop. After Throop, My daughter attended the Honors program at MS 181 for one year until she got accepted at Hunter College High School starting at grade 7. She is almost done with grade 8 and she is doing exceptionally well at Hunter. I feel her continued success can be partly attributed to the foundation she received at Throop. So, if any teachers at Throop are reading this, Thank you. Your efforts continue to bear fruits even years after your kids leave you.Parent Review2y ago10 Reviews - New Covenant Christian School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have worked at New Covenant for the past 11 years and I find it to be a wonderful place to work. The students receive individual attention in all aspects. Students are taught beyond the core curriculum and the staff goes beyond the call of duty. We try to satisfy everyone but obviously we canāt. God bless! NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the best school in the Bronx. I wish that the went beyond Kindergarten. The teachers are nurturing, the work well with parents both with School work and Home issues. The staff works with kids to prepare them for beyond 1st grade. They are great and I promise you that you will never regret sending your child to AOL!!Parent Review12y ago3 Reviews
