"It has the potential to be a great neighborhood, it is quiet and has good housing options. But it would be great to minimize some of the noise in the summer ( motorcycles, too many hang outs, etc.). But at the core of the community is really hardworking people."

"This area is very close to the 5 train - East Chester. If you would like to get to the city in 30 mins then you can cab, drive or take a bus to the metro north! Lots of restaurants, parks, supermarkets, fish markets and shopping in the area "

"I don’t like this neighborhood. I’m looking forward to moving out of here. I think the safety here is minimal. There are much better places to live than Wakefield. "

"The neighborhood is pretty safe. The people are friendly. I am not sure about the schools but I hear they are above average. The area is mostly residential. Most people have houses."

"Very Hectic. A handful of bus stops are near by but are almost always packed. Walking is just as bad as dog poop is on almost every block"

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis was one of the worst schools my children have attended. I had to remove my children due to many issues with staff not taking accountability for their own actions. My family had a bad experience and my children have awful memories of this school & many of the staff as well. This school is not bad because of the children it is substandard because of many of the staff that we have encountered that are shady and very unethical.Parent Review2y ago9 Reviews - Ps 112 Bronxwood

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a young girl, I have spent time at this school. This school has offered free breakfast and lunch in the summer. Also extra cariculam activities for after school. What I know is recently this school has adapted a chess club with the instructor Mr. Romeo, and he is a wonderful addition to what this school has to offer. What I know about Mr. Romeo is his determination, and dedication to having these children motivated in doing better things and helping them understand decision making. He is humble and a great community leader. Good job PS 111x, keep up the good job making changes with our youth.Parent Review8y ago7 Reviews - Faith Christian Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMixed. Overall my child's innate ability was squelched and delayed, instead of embraced and nurtured. I would not recommend this school to children not of Carribean extraction. In grade K5 she was nurtured and handled properly. In the final analysis she benefited, but could have received so much more if the school had been properly staffed and managed.Parent Review5y ago17 Reviews - Baychester Academy
