My son had been attending this school since pre k up until recently as he is getting booted OUT going into 3rd grade because of the program that he is needing which is an autism intermediate class that only accepts 8 students. Which is totally fine, my frustration was the fact me nor his dad was never told that this was going to be the next step he was needing to have so that we would have been prepared enough to get him into the program at the same school so he wouldn’t of been just booted out the way he was. Especially THREE days going into the next school year. No warning before hand, not told that this could happen even after we have IEP meetings SEVERAL times a year, yet this was NEVER brought up. So now not only is he getting a new teacher, new classroom, new kids, & now a WHOLE NEW SCHOOL that him nor me and his dad know anything about. Parents who have kids that have autism will understand my frustrations on this & even trying to fight for him & contact the ccsd case managements, talking to 3 different “head employees” still was taken very carelessly & just told he could be put on a “wait list” which means if something came up as far as a kid not showing up moves. By that time he will be settled into this new school, so why in the world would I want to switch him AGAIN. Over all, Nevada definitely needs to get better with their school system & I now see why we’re one of the worst in the u.s. Frias Elementary is definitely part of that for this situation & I am so upset as well as nervous for my child.

Fantastic teachers, staff that really motivate/ inspire children to learn. Great use of latest technology as well.

THEY SENT ME TO A MENTAL INSTITUTION FOR BEING SLIGHTLY SAD ABOUT BEING BULLIED, THEY WITHHELD DOCUMENTS FROM OTHER SCHOOLS WHEN I TRANSFERRED, THEY LET ME ACT UP IN CLASS CONSTANTLY, AND PUT ME IN SPECIAL ED BC I WAS BEHIND BECAUSE THEY NEVER BOTHERED TRYING. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE IF YOU LOVE THEM.

You have to beg to have any type of feedback on your child. My child was punch during recess and they wanted to suspend him as well, victimize the victim. The administration DOES NOT communicate with parents UNLESS it's to get $ from you. Never answer emails, and the front desk is RUDE with an ATTITUDE. Extremely unprofessional. Teachers just teach to the test. AVOID!

This school is literally the best out of the elementary schools that my children have ever attended. From the moment I spoke to Ms Genovese, until now, Every single encounter has been nothing short of all things amazing! My daughter has some special needs and on top of their already winning attitudes and care for the GE students, they are 100 % participating in their special education program with care, concern and a true desire to see theses babies blasting forward ! The communication from Jan Jones’ team to parents, is communication to be envied. They make me feel safe leaving my child in their hands. They make me feel like she is seen, heard, understood and rallied for at this school! They make you feel like family and I will forever be grateful that my daughter gets to experience Elementary School here! What a privilege ! Side Note: school is squeaky clean Cross Guard team ( impeccable ) which is a huge deal I could go on but I hope this helps! If you bring your child here, just know, you got the golden ticket !
